This efficient beauty is the Tecnam P2008 LSA. It is a single engine, 2-seat, high wing aircraft with a smooth, carbon-fiber fuselage and metal wings and stabilator for superior strength and stability. In addition to being the ideal recreational aircraft, its versatility and ease of use has made it a recognized state-of-the-art flight trainer, which serves many flight schools. The P2008 LSA offers engine choices to suit your mission:
Rotax 912 ULS engine: delivers significantly better fuel efficiency and lower operating costs than comparable light sport and ultra-light aircraft. Reduces fuel costs, using either Mogas or Avgas, by up to a remarkable 20%. 100hp, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke liquid/air cooled engine with opposed cylinders, dry sump forced lubrication with separate oil tank, mechanical fuel pump, dual electronic ignition, prop speed reduction unit.
Rotax 914 Turbo: More performance at high altitudes with a lower weight engine. TBO=2000 hrs., automatic waste gate control, 2 carburetors, dual electronic ignition.The P2008 has higher fuel capacity (2 x 14.5 Gal). The fuel tanks are installed in the wing box, behind the main spar. This is to preserve their integrity in case of a crash landing and to minimize fire potential.

Exterior

The P2008 LSA is a single engine, 2-seat, high wing aircraft with a carbon fiber fuselage and metal wings for superior strength and stability. The combination of both composite material and metal has resulted in a more fuel-efficient and much quieter aircraft. It has springleaf landing gear – wheels, tires and fairings, which has withstood the test of time and extensive use in flight training environments. The newly designed nose gear is free castering and consists of a tubular steel leg connected to the lower engine mount attachments and is braced by an oleo pneumatic shock absorber that provides excellent ground load absorption. A steerable nose wheel is also available. All of the landing gear is faired to minimize drag. Ground steering is by differential braking.

Interior

An expansive cabin featuring ergonomic front and rear leather seats, exceptional legroom, and easy accessibility with 3 passenger doors and a baggage door provides comfort for both pilots and passengers.
